Meet Dr. Lisa Porter

Dr. Lisa Porter was raised on a dairy farm in South East Idaho. She attended Idaho State University, received her Bachelors of Science in Biology, and then went on to get her Doctorate Degree from Pacific University. She has been awarded the Tole Greenstein Award for her outstanding patient care and clinical excellence, also receiving the College of Optometrists in Vision Development Award for her exceptional performance in Pediatric Vision.Dr. Porter completed a series of clinical rotations. Her affiliation with Hellerstein and Brenner Vision Center, in Denver, Colorado gave her insight into Pediatric vision care and the importance of a vision in learning and development. She has completed training at the Oregon Indian Health Service and the Jonathan Wainwright VA Hospital in Washington. Through these associations, she was better able to develop her skills in diagnosing and treating a wide array of ocular diseases such as Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Dry Eye Syndrome. She enjoys family practice and working with people of all ages including infants and toddlers.In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 sons. As a family, they enjoy a variety of activities including water skiing, camping, hiking, and participating in church activities.

Meet Dr. Scott Hyatt

Dr. Scott Hyatt was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. He spent time in the Idaho Falls area when he attended BYU-Idaho for his undergraduate work in Biology. It was here that he found his love for optometry and Idaho. After graduating with his BS in Biology, Dr. Hyatt moved to Fullerton to begin his Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry.He completed four optometric rotations during his fourth year of optometry school. Dr. Hyatt gained valuable experience serving the homeless and low-income communities of Downtown Los Angeles at the University Eye Center in Los Angeles. He also interned at the Veteran’s Affair hospital in Salt Lake City where he gained experience in macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. After VA Salt Lake, Dr. Hyatt worked as an intern at Hoopes Vision in Draper, Utah. There he gained experience in co-managing LASIK, cataract, and corneal transplant cases. His last rotation at the University Eye Center in Fullerton helped him better experience eyecare with children and improve his Spanish skills. Dr. Hyatt enjoys hiking, swimming, skiing, and biking with his wife and three children.<

Meet Dr. Brian Mckeon

Dr. Brian McKeon was raised in Canby, Oregon. He attended Brigham Young University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Sciences. He continued on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. While completing his studies in Houston, Dr. McKeon had the privilege of working with a wide variety of patient populations. Working to serve underprivileged communities at the University Eye Institute and San Jose Clinic allowed him to gain valuable experience in providing comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, specialty contact lenses, pediatric care, and ocular diagnostics. In his clinical rotation with Coastal Eye Associates in Webster, TX, he expanded his skills in treating problem-focused medical exams as well as providing pre- and post-operative care for ocular surgeries. His final rotation at the Indian Health Services in Albuquerque, NM provided him with the opportunity to develop his skills in diagnosing and treating ocular diseases such as dry eye, diabetes, and glaucoma.

Dr. McKeon is passionate about family eyecare and thoroughly enjoys caring for patients of all ages – from newborn through the golden years.

Dr. McKeon enjoys playing the ukulele, hiking, camping, playing board games, and spending time with his wife and son.

Meet Dr. Jordan Evans

Dr. Jordan Evans serves as A-B-See Vision's specialist in ocular surface disease and dry eye management. A member of the American Optometric Association, he graduated from the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas, in 2019. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Physiology and Biomechanics from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Originally from rural Indiana, Dr. Evans fell in love with Eastern Idaho while attending BYU-I.

With advanced training in the management of complex anterior segment eye diseases, Dr. Evans is highly experienced in state-of-the-art dry eye treatments such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy and LipiFlow. His dedication to relieving chronic eye irritation and improving patients' quality of life is at the core of his practice.

Dr. Evans is proficient in treating a wide range of ocular conditions, including macular degeneration and glaucoma. Before joining the A-B-See Vision team, he worked as a medical optometrist at an ocular surgery center, where he acquired invaluable expertise in managing diverse eye diseases. Additionally, he addresses vision deficiencies, such as refractive errors, with glasses, contact lenses, and specialty lenses like scleral lenses. He is also knowledgeable in refractive eye surgeries.

Dr. Evans' clinical philosophy is best encapsulated by the words of Dr. Russell M. Nelson, a renowned heart surgeon: “The duty of a doctor, primarily, is to teach. A doctor is really functioning at his highest level when he is teaching his patient what is wrong and what can be done about it.” Guided by this principle, Dr. Evans strives daily to provide the best care possible, ensuring his patients feel informed, understood, and cared for.
