Meet Dr. Lisa Porter

Dr. Lisa Porter was raised on a dairy farm in South East Idaho. She attended Idaho State University, received her Bachelors of Science in Biology, and then went on to get her Doctorate Degree from Pacific University. She has been awarded the Tole Greenstein Award for her outstanding patient care and clinical excellence, also receiving the College of Optometrists in Vision Development Award for her exceptional performance in Pediatric Vision. Dr. Porter completed a series of clinical rotations. Her affiliation with Hellerstein and Brenner Vision Center, in Denver, Colorado gave her insight into Pediatric vision care and the importance of a vision in learning and development. She has completed training at the Oregon Indian Health Service and the Jonathan Wainwright VA Hospital in Washington. Through these associations, she was better able to develop her skills in diagnosing and treating a wide array of ocular diseases such as Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Dry Eye Syndrome. She enjoys family practice and working with people of all ages including infants and toddlers. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 sons. As a family, they enjoy a variety of activities including water skiing, camping, hiking, and participating in church activities.
