Meet Dr. Scott Hyatt

Dr. Scott Hyatt was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. He spent time in the Idaho Falls area when he attended BYU-Idaho for his undergraduate work in Biology. It was here that he found his love for optometry and Idaho. After graduating with his BS in Biology, Dr. Hyatt moved to Fullerton to begin his Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry. He completed four optometric rotations during his fourth year of optometry school. Dr. Hyatt gained valuable experience serving the homeless and low-income communities of Downtown Los Angeles at the University Eye Center in Los Angeles. He also interned at the Veteran’s Affair hospital in Salt Lake City where he gained experience in macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. After VA Salt Lake, Dr. Hyatt worked as an intern at Hoopes Vision in Draper, Utah. There he gained experience in co-managing LASIK, cataract, and corneal transplant cases. His last rotation at the University Eye Center in Fullerton helped him better experience eyecare with children and improve his Spanish skills. Dr. Hyatt enjoys hiking, swimming, skiing, and biking with his wife and three children.
